“Wedding Guest Style Series”, Chapter Four: Floral Fever

posted in: Fashion | 0

Last year I had a number of weddings in a row so I decided to do a “Wedding Guest Style Series”. It went down really well with you all so I decided to add to the series, as I was at my cousin’s beautiful wedding over the weekend. If you’d like to read some of my previous posts on Wedding Guest Style, you can click any of the following links: Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three.

This wedding sort of crept up on me, we’ve been looking forward to it for so long but due to a number of factors I suddenly found myself on the week of the wedding with nothing to wear! So, ASOS with next day delivery was the only answer! As luck would have it they actually had a huge sale on so I picked this dress up for half price! I also love that ASOS do a petite range, which meant that I didn’t have to do any alterations to the length – short girl problems!

The whole outfit was kind of meant to be – I arrived home to Kilkenny the night before the wedding and found the bag and earrings in mum’s wardrobe! The scarf (also mum’s) was a gift that I had brought back from Thailand! I actually couldn’t believe my luck! A random girl I met in the bathrooms asked me if I’d had the dress and shawl made, I laughed and explained that the whole outfit had actually cost me less than €80! The funny thing is, while this outfit was an absolute bargain, for the first time in a while I actually felt like a million dollars!
