Styling the Suede Skirt

posted in: Fashion | 5

Hello you wonderful people!

I feel like I start every post these days with an apology for being away from the blog for so long, but that’s reality isn’t it? Trying to juggle a hundred things at once and not let any of them fall! I’ve been absolutely wrecked lately so I needed to take some time for myself to recuperate. I also needed to catch up with family and friends. If you follow me on snapchat (@styleboothique) you’ll know that it was a special birthday for my mum last weekend so I organised a family dinner as a surprise. All in all it’s been a busy few weeks and there’s an even busier couple of weeks ahead! This weekend I had my friends birthday and today I had a blogger brunch with special guest Joanna Larby from The Make-Up Fairy! Next week I’m heading to the Blog Awards on Thursday night and flying to Paris on Friday morning! So much excitement! Anyways, let’s get down to what you came here to see…some fashion!

I love camel tones anyway but when I saw that these a-line button front skirts were in vogue I knew I had to have one – you know me and the ’70s trend!

I paired my faux suede a-line skirt with a denim shirt and black tights for an autumnal look – it’s turned a little chilly for bare legs during the day!

The skirt is from H&M but they only seem to have the burgundy one left online – H&M. Boohoo.com have a very similar one in stock at the moment too – Boohoo.

The denim shirt is from Penneys/Primark – in store.

The boots are old stock from Topshop but they have a similar style back in stock – Topshop.

I love this scarf; it was a present from my friend and was bought on a trip to Krakow. My Michael Kors bag was a gift from a family friend who was home from New York during the summer – such a generous person!

Have you styled a suede skirt recently? Let me know how you wore it in the comments section below!

If you’d like to see another ’70s inspired outfit you can check out my post about the ‘Winter Maxi’ –  here.

Hmm it appears like your blog ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so
I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to everything.
Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers?
    I’d definitely appreciate it.

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets
I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some
time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with
something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything.
I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new
    updates.
