Style Diary: Electric Picnic

posted in: Fashion | 0

Hello All!

I need to apologise for my absence on my blog and my social media accounts over the past few weeks; I’ve just gone back to work after a year and three months and I’m trying to find a whole new routine! Having been off sick after my accident for such a long time it’s a bit of a shock to the system to be back in a classroom but it’s such a good feeling. Teaching is something I absolutely love and it makes me so happy!

In other news I’ve been shortlisted for Best Fashion Blog in the Blog Awards Ireland, I’d really appreciate your vote which you can do Here. (Unfortunately they’ve gotten my blog name wrong so it’s listed as “Style Booth”, which I’m trying to change!)

So having been to Electric Picnic over the weekend I’ve put together a style diary of what I wore. It was such a great weekend; the music and atmosphere were amazing and the weather was fab which is always a plus!

So here’s what I wore over the three days of Electric Picnic…

Day 1:

For the Friday of the Picnic I went for a boho inspired look including fringing, suede and crochet pieces. Layering is essential for festivals – especially in Ireland. I love to be able to peel layers on and off as the sun comes in and out! I loved the mix of textures in this outfit – from the softness of the suede and crochet to the tougher leather.

Day 2:

For day 2 of the festival I opted for a grungier look. I mixed a leather fringed skirt and an military inspired green jacket – it may not be the conventional way to wear fringing but I really like the mix of styles – never be afraid to break the mould!
