So I’m back from Paris and I’m so excited to share this post with you! If you follow me on Snapchat (@styleboothique) you’ll have seen a snap a few weeks ago about a collaboration with Daverns of Cashel. So today is the day that I finally get to share the first of a two-part collaboration. Before I get started I want to give you a little background information on the store, as this isn’t just your regular high-street store I think it’s so important that you know the history behind it.
Daverns, established in 1926, is a boutique store in Cashel, County Tipperary. The store has been in the Davern family for three generations and benefits from the stunning surroundings of the tourist town famous for the Rock of Cashel.
The store itself is a listed building which retains many of the original features with rustic touches throughout, appealing to generations of local families who have paid visits to Daverns over the years to scout out the latest fashion trends, to get that special outfit, or enjoy the sales.
Catering for men and women in both casual and formal wear Daverns stocks the following brands:
- Calvin Klein
- Ralph Lauren
- Carl Gross
- Tommy Hilfiger
- Joseph Ribkoff
- Gerry Weber
- Paul & Shark
- And many more
The staff offer a personalised service with measurement and alteration services available on suits and ladies formal wear, trousers or jeans. A wide range of sizes are also catered for under one roof, from an 8-20.
As you can imagine the building itself itself is even worth a visit! So now down to the fashion side of things! As many of you will have seen, bomber jackets have made a serious come-back this season. With celebrities from Kylie Jenner, Miranda Kerr and Cheryl Fernandez Versini donning the trend, the bomber jacket is everywhere.
As a small person I’ve always stayed away from this style of jackets as I feared they’d swamp me. However, when this little gem landed in my house I knew my mind had been changed!
This Superdry jacket is so light and fits so well but I couldn’t believe how warm it was. I literally wore this every evening in Paris when it got a little chilly. With the Ski season approaching this would be ideal for Après-ski as it’s warm but without the bulk! It also has zip pockets – ideal for when you’re out and about but don’t want to carry a bag!
I popped a vintage belt around the waist so that the eye was drawn in, making my waist more defined but that’s just me – you all know I have a thing for belts!
The fur detailing on the inside of the collar not only ticks another box for key trends this season but is also the cosiest thing I’ve ever worn!
While I’ve styled the jacket here for a causal day-time look, it can easily be dressed up for the evening with a body-con dress and tights. It’s such a versatile piece. This is one of those investment pieces that will last from season to season – the quality is amazing.
This jacket and many, many other styles are currently available in Daverns, Main Street, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.
I’ve been told that all at Daverns look forward to welcoming Style Boothique followers to the store soon, so be sure to tell them I sent you!
Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the second outfit post in collaboration with Daverns, it’ll be up over the weekend.
