The Military Trend

There was a nod to the military trend at many of the Spring Summer 2015 shows including Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren. While Jacobs opted for make-up free (seriously – none, zilch, nada!!) models in military-esque uniforms; Ralph Lauren opted for a safari inspired, wearable and softer take on the trend. P.S. You can thank Jacobs for those slider sandals that are everywhere this summer, they were all over his SS’15 catwalk!

 

I’ve always loved military jackets and that all round utilitarian look, however, my girly-girl side always prevents me from going all out army chick! Hence, I adored Ralph Lauren’s show, juxtaposing safari with silk and khaki against vibrant jewel tones.
