Bonjour!
I’m writing this post from Paris, would you believe! We arrived on Friday and I’ve fallen in love with the city! If you’d like to join me on our mini-break be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat – @styleboothique.
I will have a travel post up on my trip next week but until then I wanted to share this outfit post with you.
Last Sunday I attended another Into The West Blogger Event, this time it was a beauty brunch with Joanne Larby of The Make-up Fairy.
It was such a great day and Joanne is such a great speaker – I came away feeling motivated and inspired. Joanne is the definition of “Girl Boss” – her independence and hard work ethic are admirable to say the least; she’s also casually briging out a book in November which I cannot wait to read!
So I’ve got to be honest, between birthdays, trips and rent (shudder) I’m totally broke at the moment; so buying a new outfit was not an option for this event. I had to reuse & recycle! I decided on this tulle skirt, which you may remember from my “Wedding Guest Style Series.” This time I wanted to go less fairytale, more grunge (sort of!), so I paired it with a leather jacket and cons. I really like the juxtaposition of the leather against the tulle.
I adore this skirt! It’s from Folkster which is one of my favourite stores; you need to visit them, even just to check out their shop floor, its so gorgeous, and so Instagrammable! They’re in Temple Bar in Dublin, and Kilkenny City and you can find them on Facebook.
This leather jacket is from Only and came with a fur collar which I removed for this look. I love this jacket, it was such a good buy – one can never have too many leather jackets!
Most of you will know by now that I can’t wear heels due to my dodgy leg so I’m really embracing the trainers trend we’re seeing at the moment – by force not choice! If you had told me two years ago that I’d wear a pair of cons with a tulle skirt I would’ve laughed, but here we are…and I’m growing to like it more and more!
Leather jacket – Only || Tulle Skirt – Folkster || Converse – Office || T-shirt – Penneys/Primark ||
Feather bag – Penneys/Primark (old stock but they have a really similar one back in stock in black)

This tulle and leather outfit sums me up really – soft as butter but a toughie when I need to be!
