I’m currently in front of the fire with scented candles lighting and all the twinkly lights on…my idea of heaven! I actually can’t believe it’s December and that its only two weeks until Christmas! This is my favourite time of year for so many reasons – firstly it’s my Birthday month – on the 30th I turn 26… although, seeing that in writing even scares me but that’s a worry for another day! I love that in December I get to catch up with all my friends and family that live abroad or work in different parts of the country. Except this year is the first year that one of our family is missing. My brother, Robert, moved to Australia in March so he won’t be home this year – we posted his presents last week and it really hit that that he won’t be home – he’s having a ball though so I’m sure he’ll be grand!
I’m so looking forward to the holidays – next weekend is a bit manic but after that I’m going to make sure I’ve a seriously chilled-out Christmas! I have my work party next Friday night, a baby shower on Saturday afternoon, our annual dinner and drinks with friends is Saturday night and on Sunday I’ve a pre-Christmas dinner at Alex’s!
The only thing I have planned for the Christmas holidays is my cousins’s wedding – which I’m super excited for (and still looking for the perfect dress!) but other than that I just want to spend time at home, watching movies under a blanket! As most of you will know, I’ve moved back home but I’m commuting to Dublin every day from Kilkenny and I feel like my body needs a rest, so it’ll be Bailey’s Coffees and chocolates on the couch for me!
I’ve bought so many bits over the past few weeks – boots, dresses and Christmassy tops so I’m going to do a Winter and Christmas Haul over on my YouTube this week. If you want to subscirbe so that you get notified when it’s uploaded – you can do that here.
